About Me

A Little Bit About Me

Hi my name is Emily Fox and I am the founder of Fox and Flow yoga based in Marden, between Maidstone, Tonbridge, Ashford, and Tunbridge Wells.

I have been practising yoga for 17 years and first started in my early twenties. Right at the start of my journey I found a connection with Ashtanga having come from a background of gymnastics and dancing and found not only the physical practice but the mental ‘break’ brought me back to the mat time and time again.

It’s amazing the difference a simple hour a day or week can make and is a space where I stop thinking about the mundane and where I find peace. Yoga has also made amazing changes to my physical body as well as my mind.

I was a dedicated yogi whilst having my children and when I moved to Marden originally nine years ago found a big whole in my life when I found no classes in our quiet rural village.

But after a few years a local class started up run by now friend Steph founder of Balance and Blossom. When my local yoga teacher and friend said she was having a baby the thought of no yoga again filled me with dread and it was that which inspired me to train to become a yoga teacher.

I trained with Yoga London for a Year and am now a 200hour qualified yoga instructor. Yoga has enabled me to find more balance in my own life as I now work part-time for the NHS, teaching in the week, whilst also being a mother to 3 children.

I hope that through my classes I may help you find peace and a mental ‘break’ from the ceaseless chatter in our minds that is the result of modern day society. And may you find the challenge of the practice enough to fill your days with meaning and clarity.
